Plan your visit to Bath Folk Festival

What makes Bath Folk Festival different?

Bath Folk Festival is not a traditional field-based folk festival. Instead, concerts, sessions, dances and workshops are held at a variety of venues across Bath, so the whole city becomes alive with traditional music, dance and storytelling.

You’ll experience folk culture in unconventional places, and get the opportunity to join in at any of our lively pub and cafe sessions. If you want to develop or improve your own performing skills, you can join us at our week-long traditional music summer school, where you can learn from our world-class tutors.

Your visit to Bath Folk Festival is not confined to a muddy festival field: Bath is a World Heritage City, and whilst you’re here you are free to explore the city’s wide range of museums and attractions, including the Roman Bath Museum and luxury Thermae Bath Spa.

Bath Folk Festival celebrates all flavours of traditional music, from English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh music to Americana, gypsy jazz, French, bluegrass, world folk and more. Whatever your taste, there will be something for you in Bath between 12th – 20th August 2017.
