Ali George got his first guitar when he was six years old, and was in his first band by the age of ten. By sixteen he was performing solo gigs in pubs and venues around Bath and Frome, recording demo albums and developing his skills as a songwriter. In 2003 Ali was interviewed for the first time by Decode magazine. In the review, his first E.P. Songs, was described as “ingenious”.
Since then he has written and produced four albums. Really inspired by the nature and people that have surrounded him, his music is spellbinding and sensitive and reflects these influences
Mike Danver Scott has been writing and performing songs for three decades and has become a local treasure. His gigs have equal measure of brilliant observational humour and heartfelt beauty. They all share an honesty that is impossible not to notice which is why he has proved so popular in folk clubs and art centres. He has become a regular player at Bath Folk Festival and we are very pleased to welcome him back.
John Wilson first started performing at the legendary long running sessions at the Royal Oak pub and very quickly came to the attention of Bath Folk Festival’s artistic director. He’s a skilful finger style guitarist of impeccable taste and song choices.
This event is organised by St James Wine Vaults. St James Wine Vaults is a laid back pub with a friendly welcome, a great atmosphere, and a wide range of quality wines, ciders, lagers, beers, spirits and regular live music.
