Pons Aelius and Guests

Wednesday 16th August 2017

Green Park Brasserie Garden
Green Park Road

Pons Aelius are an ambitious young instrumental sextet exploring the traditional and contemporary folk musics of Britain and beyond. With bold arrangements and an arsenal of instruments, the band melds age-old traditions with a fresh and innovative attitude.

Pons Aelius played to a packed out audience at the Bath Folk Club last year and have been winning many accolades, including the Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections. They play Celtic music of the highest magnitude with dynamic arrangements between the Highland pipes flutes, whistles, strings and percussion. The musicians are always having a huge amount of fun, which means that every gig becomes a huge party. In the line up is Bath’s own Tom Kimber, who first performed at the Bath Folk Club as a teenager. It was obvious then that he was set for a great path in music!

This event is organised by Green Park Brasserie. Green Park Brasserie is an award winning restaurant and bar serving up local seasonal food and live music in the old railway station.
