Tom Moore and Archie Churchill-Moss

Tom Moore (viola) and Archie Churchill-Moss (accordion) have become key performers on the instrumental folk music scene in the last few years, both appearing in a host of bands. In this newly reformed duo act, they are performing a programme of brand new instrumental music – almost all of it self-penned and improvised. Taking influence from all corners of Northern Europe and from fresh contemporary art music, an evening in the musical company of Moore and Moss will leave you mesmerised, inspired and thrilled.

Nidd is the gathering of three innovative musicians from the North of England, whose influences range from folk to jazz and funk. The trio play tunes and songs, mainly from the British Isles; traditional music with 21st century energy.

Nidd met through the National Youth Folk Ensemble, gigging together at festivals and venues such as Shrewsbury Folk Festival, Cecil Sharpe House and The Bury Met.

They decided to form the band in late 2017 and have since been booked for numerous shows and festivals across the North of England. We are pleased to host Nidd’s first performance in Bath.
